On Trade Trak, you’re not limited to the fields that we decide that you should have. Instead, you can create your own for when you’re creating clients and jobs.
Custom Fields Settings
To find the Custom Fields settings, click on your icon or name in the top right corner of the page you’re on, and from the drop down menu, select Company Settings. From the next drop down menu, select Custom Fields.

On this page you will be able to see all of the custom fields that your company already has in place.
To edit or delete an existing custom field, click on the ... button on the relevant line, and select your option.
To create a new one, click on New Field.
Create a Custom Field
After clicking the button, a popup will appear where you are required to enter details about your custom field.
Select from the drop down menu whether you want to create a field for either:
Add a name for the field (e.g. How They Found Us)
Select from the drop down menu what field type you would like to use.
The options are:
Available to Subcontractors
If you would like this custom field be available to your subcontractors, tick this box.
If you would like this custom field to appear on PDFs that are generated on Trade Trak (e.g. with the job or client details at the top of the PDF), tick this box.
If you would like this custom field to be able to be used as a filter when searching for jobs/clients, tick this box.
If you would like this custom field to be an option to choose when creating a new job in your job calendar (only if you have selected the custom field as a job and not a client), tick this box.
If you would like this custom field to require a mandatory answer, tick this box.
For each field type, you may like to enter your own options or in some cases, alter our default ones.
Text - Enter the max length of characters for the text response
Number - Enter the minimum value and the maximum value (e.g. 1 and 10)
Dropdown - Enter the options you would like to show in your dropdown menu on different lines by pressing shift + enter at the end of each one.
Checkbox - There are no options for the checkbox - the field name is the only text that will show.
